You don't "need" anything to go to Heaven.
We all return to the spiritual dimension from whence we came, upon the death of the physical.
God is all-loving and sends no one to hell. You can send yourself to hell if you believe it exists, you can even believe that you are suffering hellfire and eternal damnation but you will not really suffer. God doesn't punish. Humans do.

Why do we need to worship god?
Because he created us?
So did my parents, but I don't make alters and bow down to them every Sunday

I think that everybody goes to heaven, and you don't need anything, and that hell doesn't exist. My opinion, though, feel free to disagree.
