Cute and sweet things for me would be to:
- leave post-it notes where i know my bf is gonna find it and it says something like 'i love u, ur everything to me or i miss u even though im just in the other room'
- i also cook my bfs meals, whatever it is from a sandwich to a 3 course dinner (the best way to a mans heart is through his stomach)
- i turn to my bf suddenly and hug him so tightly, sometimes i pretend somethings wrong and then POW i change my frown upside down and hug him furiously lol
It really is up to ur imagination and what ur comfortable with. I would suggest any of the above or even make ur bf a card/gift from scratch and let him know how much he means to u, or go buy him a drink and with a permanent marker write on it 'i love u or ur a cutie'... there is so much u can do, send him a gift through post... something little like perfume or a 'guys' game... getting a present in the mail is so exciting even though u see that person all the time lol.
Smother him with small, light kisses all over his face is nice too.

Just be true to yourself and be true to the relationship. Cutesy stuff is fine and good, but if you aren't good at figuring out whether or not youre a good match for him, then thats what you need to focus on. If you guys don't work, then all the cutesy stuff in the world is just fluff.
but... since you asked for what to do...
1) learn all of his favorite things, so you always know what gifts to give him or places on his back/neck to scratch, etc
2) learn his level of intimacy, if he likes it hot heavy and all up in there, or more relaxed and reserved.
3) give him a role to be with you.. make him feel useful and needed, but not so much that your a burden. Sometimes, asking for a little help or attention makes us men feel like men.
