The church has shown itself to be unreliable at best. I am in a mind set to explore for the truth. The opposite of what I was taught, patriarchal, authoritarian, un-natural, seems to be wicca. Tell me if you know what things about wicca would be against God? Do wicca pray to the devil? Do wicca use human sacrifice? If this is not ok with God to be seeking the truth, may he forgive me.

Dearest Mati. I applaud you for seeking your truth. I was raised Christian (mom was SB dad was Mormon) but amazingly they taught me to be open minded and to search for my truth. At age 13 I found it in Wicca. It is very much a lifestyle. Most of us live our beliefs 24/7 and would never preach to anyone. No praying to evil, no sacrifices, none of us have an "I am better than you" attitude. Being "against God" would be akin to being against nature! So in that respect there is no way we could possibly be against God! Another misconception is that we don't believe in Jesus! Well, I don't know about the others, I do not worship Jesus but can respect him as a teacher. And if you look at it his teachings are very much teaching love, acceptance & peace. I suggest that you learn as much as you can about other religions as well. You will eventually find what is your truth, what speaks to your heart. You do not have to believe or follow just because someone else tells you it is the only truth. But if having deep regard & respect for nature is evil I am in big trouble!

Wiccans do not pray to the devil we do not believe in the devil we do not sacrifice humans or animals. The things about Wicca that some Christians might find objectionable are the practice of magic and the worship of Gods other than Jehovah and the acceptance of all sexual orientations. We believe that as long as you do not harm anyone you should be allowed to do what you want. Do not explore Wicca just to rebel you will give the rest of us a bad name. However if you study Wicca and find it is truly your path follow it. Blessed be.

No Wiccans do not worship the Devil or engage in human sacrifice. The first is usually associated with Satanism, which, ironically, Wiccans consider a corrupted form of Christianity. (Wiccans don't believe in Satan).

However, Wiccans don't believe in the authority of Jesus Christ, either, and in that way they are contrary to Christian teachings.

Asking questions is never wrong. God gave us rational minds and inquisitive spirits. It may be that the tradition of Christianity you were raised in is too narrowed minded for you, but there are a great many "streams" of tradition within Christianity. Find a book by Richard J. Foster called "Streams of Living Water: Celebrating the Great Traditions of Christian Faith". I think you may find it helpful. Also look for a book called "Wicca's Charm: Understanding the Spiritual Hunger Behind the Rise of Modern Witchcraft and Pagan Spirituality" by Catherine Edwards Sanders. It will help answer some of your questions about Wicca.

Wicca is not against God.

Christians are against Wicca. Big difference. God isn't choosing sides.

Wiccans do NOT believe in the "devil". Wiccans do not sacrifice anything. Sacrifice implys ownership.

Most Wiccans don't even believe in the devil and if they do, they are unlikely to have anything to do with him. Wiccans also follow something called the Wiccan Rede, which essential states" if it harms none, do what you will". This means that most Wiccans do not believe in harming anyone or anything unless it is done to survival (i.e. to eat, have shelter, defend themselves etc.). They also usually believe in something called the "rule of three" which essentially states that whatever you do will come back to you multiplied by three. If you do something kind, it will eventually be done to you three times better and if you do something unkind, it will come back three times worse. Therefore, I probably don't have to tell you that Wiccans don't do human sacrifice or any other kind of sacrifice that will harm someone or something else. Wiccans often do believe in magic and many of them practice it, but with the Wiccan Rede and Rule of Three used as guide lines.

Googling "Wicca" is a good way to get LOTS of information on this subject. I would just advise you to beware of any fear based messages concerning Wicca, because it really is such a misunderstood religion by those who don't have any real experience or first hand knowledge of it.

True Wicca worship and practice is about being in touch with the Earth and its engery, and using it as a positive flow. Satan and evil doesn't enter into it unless the person is corrupt and going against the teachings of the Wicca way.

Wicca is not a unified religion with set doctrines and practices.
Most people who call themselves Wiccans practice a sort of nature religion, making up their own spells and rituals.
Wicca is not evil; it is not devil worship. Devil worship (worship of Satan or another evil entity) does exist, but this is not Wicca.
In my mind it is lacking in spiritual value, but this will depend partly on the practitioner.

No wiccians don't pray to the devil or use human sacrifice, or dance nekid around gravestones (although I do have to say I like the sound of this). They don't like wiccians because bascilly the bible says so. They don't believe in God but nature, and that nature was created byselfs and not by God. And a world without God to a christian is the most evil thing one can say or do.

No, they do not pray to the devil, no, human sacrifice has always been a big no-no in Wicca. No sane person these days would sacrifice another for any reason.

A great book to read is The Wicca Handbook by Eileen Holland. One of the main rules of wicca is not to harm.
