how do i fix it? Someone put a firewall because supposedly it makes it so that no one else can tamper with the internet and steal it... so how do i download music? do i have to remove the firewall?

you do not necessarily have to remove it. depending on what firewall you are using, go into the settings or options and you can add limewire as a safe program and grant it access to the internet. your problem will be solved

Go to Start -> All Programs ->Accessories -> System Tools -> Security Centre.
At the dialog box that apperas, click on "Windows Firewall" under "Manage Security Settings for".
At the dialig box that appears, click on the "Exceptions" Tab. Click against Limewire to check the check box.
Now when Limewire is running, the Windows Firewall will not block it.

the firewall doesn't really matter if you have installed guentella to your computer. i had the same problem but it was because i had internet through a satellite dish. i just had to quit messing with it or get a different kind of internet service.
