Is there anything I can feed this dog to change her breath? I feed her Iams dogfood now.

Check her teeth for decay first.

Brush her teeth.

Change her diet. Iams may be too rich for her system. I've raised 3 dogs on Purina Dog Chow and they have never had noticeable doggy breath.

Ask your vet if all else fails.

Try switching dog foods to something better than Iams, which used to be a natural dog food but was bought out by Purina several years ago and now, who knows what's in that food. I would recommend Solid Gold or Wellness or something of higher quality. It's also possible she has a tooth infection, or just too much bacteria in her mouth. Get her teeth cleaned or start brushing them yourself. Pet stores sell doggy toothbrushes with minty/meating tasting toothpaste that dogs love. That should help her breath to smell better. Breath that bad is definintely a sign that something is not right with her body though, so i would talk to your vet about it.

Yes there is a way to help with your dogs bad breath. Dogs are like humans, except they cant brush their teeth twice a day, therefore their breath gets pretty bad.

I suggest you take your dog to the vet for dental surgery 2 times a month. They will clean her teeth and this will help get rid of the bad breath. Then brush her teath twice daily to help keep the placque off of her teeth and keep her breath fresh. I have 3 dogs and it works well with them.

Good Luck :-)

How old is your dog? If she is older than 2 years old, lift the side of her mouth, do her teeth look yellow and brown? Does it look like there is a good deal amount of plaque and tartar on her teeth? She probably need to have her teeth cleaned professionally by your vet. After this procedure is done, they have a pretty smile and nice breath, it will also be easier to manage her breath once you have a clean slate (after the dental procedure)! Good Luck!

Go to the health food store and purchase powdered Brewers Yeast and mix it in the dog food about 2 tablespoons once a day. this will cut the breath odor and it penetrates thru his skin a neutralizing effect that fleas hate!! Two great reasons to add it to his food...should see results within 3-4 days! Good Luck!

There is a dog biscuit that you can buy. That has something in it for bad dog breath. Go to a pet store and ask for it.

Hopes that help.

Hope you and your family have a great Christmas.

WOW=() I thought it was just my sisters dog, she has a spaniel to and his breath stinks! I have a German Shepherd and her breath doesn't smell bad.
I buy him breath mints for dogs and it helps to brush there teeth.
Hope it helps.

Try brushing her teeth. It won't only help with her breath, but will also help her teeth. There are specific toothbrushes/ fingerbrushes and toothpaste to use that are doggie safe.
