I know all breeds are loving but i want to know some of the breeds that are the most loving. My dad says i can get a dog (finally) But I have to explain why i chose the breed of dog i did, he says dogs are a lifetime comitment so i should be able to pick any dog i want. I can get any size or price/breed but a dog like a husky isn't so loving so even thogh it is beautiful i would not choose it. I am compleatly serious because i know this is a lifetime comitment not something like a toy. Please give me serious answers thanx=)

Rescue a dog! They are lovely and they need help!
But if you don't want it, there is some really clever and good breeds:
Samoyed: They are white sled-dogs. They are cleverer then other sled-dogs and good at dog sports. Sometimes they are pigheaded, but usually they are obedient. They are like a polar bear. I have one and he is a very good dog, but they are very strong, so if you aren't strong, don't buy a samoyed! Only to gardens!
Rottweiler: If you want a brave bodyguard it is good for you. They are good at sports. You can control them with only your voice. If a rottweiler's master is not enough strict or unfair, the rottweiler will be aggressive!
Australian sheperd: They are very clever dogs. Good at agility, herding, obedience. Good rescue dogs. They have long hair.
Mudi: Sheperd dogs. One of the cleverest dogs. Good at agility, herding, obedience, good keeper and rescue dogs. I will have one, i think one the best breeds in the world!
Good luck!

Any dog is loving if it has an owner that treats it well and gives it the attention it deserves. Golden Retreivers are excellent dogs and very loving. Spaniels are great family dogs and are always willing to please, this would include a Cocker Spaniel, Brittany Spaniel, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Small dogs are usually very sweet and lovable. Shelties, Papillions, Poodles, Bichon, Daschunds are great companion dogs and will follow you all over the house and snuggle with you on the couch when watching TV. If you are not going to be able to give the dog alot of exercise because of school or work committments, a small dog would be ideal because you can play with them in the house or step out in the yard and throw a ball around for a short period of time and they are happy and exercised. If you are an athletic sort of person, a bigger dog would be good because you could take the dog jogging with you or take it to a park for a run. Bigger dogs do need more exercise to be happy. Also, don't discount the mutt or the Heinz 57. We have a mutt that is part Brittany, part Sheltie and part who knows what, she is about 50# and is the best dog my husband and I have ever had. She is sweet, gentle, smart and loving. Her name is Josie. We got her from a shelter and it was the best thing we ever did. So if you have shelters in your area, give them a try. Some of the best dogs in the world come from them. Good luck in your search.

The Papillion is one of the top ten smartest dog breeds (it's number eight) and the only one in the ten that's toy sized. If you're curious about the list: *1* Border collie *2* Poodle *3* German shepherd *4* Golden retriever *5* Doberman pinscher *6* Shetland sheepdog *7* Labrador retriever *8* Papillon *9* Rottweiler *10* Australian cattle dog Smart dogs make better pets! Until the learn how to open the fridge and eat all night ;)

My breed of choice is the Bernese mountain dog. They are quite expensive but they are really friendly and great family dogs. You could also try this breed recommender. It will ask you a few questions about grooming, exercise and personality and so on and then will give you a list of breeds that might be best for you. I found it useful. http://www.glowdog.com/bestdog/

You got one thing wrong in your question; Huskies are beautiful, loving, devoted dogs and a lot of people judge them because they look a lot like a wolf. They are just as loving as a Labrador or Golden Retriever.
There are so many breeds of dogs that are loving. I don't think any breed of dog isn't.
What size are you wanting? Small/Medium/Large?
How much time do you want to spend grooming and walking the dog?

All these breeds are great dogs and are very loving. The sizes are all over the place so just take a look at all the dogs and see which ones you like. Don't just look at the pictures, read the temperament, health problems etc. You could also go to http://dogbreedinfo.com/search.htm and take a quiz to see which dogs would match your lifestyle best.

Please think hard whether you can devote 15+ years of your life (it may not seem like much, but 15 years is a LONG time to be looking after a dog) to look after him/her. The price of the dog SHOULD matter because prices can range from $200-$5500 depending on which breed you want. Is your family financially stable to care for the dog for so long? Will you be able to pay $20+ a week on dog food for 15+ years? Will you be able to pay thousands of dollars if he/she has to have emergency surgery?

I know chiawawas are very loveing dogs. they are small and love to lay in your lap while youre watching tv and things like that.

Boston terriers are between small and medium sized dogs. They usually weigh about 12 to 17 pounds and also are lap dogs. I have a boston terrier.

Getting a large dog is good, but you cant hold it on your lap to give it the much needed attention it wants. Smaller dogs are easier to handle and take care of. Plus they are good bed mates and bed warmers when they sleep with you at night.

I hope this helps :-)

My vote is for a Great Dane! Their live span is 8 - 10 years, you need to remember that larger dogs normally have a shorter live span. No matter what you choose check out all you can before you get a dog.

You have a great Dad. The most loving dogs are the ones in the Human Society because they have lost their homes and they are looking for a kind loving family to take them into the family: they know how to love but no one has loved them.

I agree with the person who told you to adopt a dog from your local animal shelter. There are so many nice dogs needing good, loving and safe homes. I adopted my dog from Pets in Need. He's a very sweet, smart, loving Boxer. Boxer's are very good with children. In fact, they usually gravitate toward the youngest child in the room, it's uncanny. My Boxer is so smart and has such a good dispositionl. He knows that he was saved from the shelter and shows me his loving kindness everyday.
