heh i've been in quite a few. It comes from all races some people within certain races tend to think it falls away from a suppossed natural order but since when did love follow any kind of order?
Love sees no color my dear. I dated a girl once whose parents flat out asked her why she was dating a "white guy". She simply replied that she dated guys in a way that Martin Luther King Jr would approve of...by the content of their character.

I don't think so. Racial mixing is an opportunity for the strengths of the various races (immunities, resistance to certain injuries, etc.) to combine, making the species stronger.
On the other hand, diversity in the species safeguards us from mass extinction due to disease since one or more of those varied groups may have a greater immunity, perhaps even through a trait that might otherwise be a liability. The way sickle cell anemia gives greater resistance to malaria is one example.
The best attitude overall might be a preference for ones own race coupled with being open to the possibility of a relationship with a person of another race.

I do not think there is anything wrong with interracial dating, but I think that the reason some people think it is wrong is two-fold:
1. If the person is 40 or under, they think it is wrong because that is what their parents taught them.
2. Older people just think it is wrong because they were raised during the time of Jim Crow and separate but equal.

I am a mauritian girl (dark skin) and my partner is australian (light skin), we get stared at all the time because the area we live in is an 'australian' community and not many ppl from other back grounds live there.
At times i feel it to be uncomfortable because the staring is constant, especially if my bf and i are being affectionate with each other.
What doesnt kill us, makes us stronger and it has... my bf and i take this experience and it makes our relationship stronger, we're unique in the eyes of other ppl and so what, they're not who i am in love with.
Some ppl think interracial couples is wrong based on old fashion beliefs or its just seen as weird coz its not common or ignorance that he and i are attractive ppl from different backgrounds and is seen as taboo.
At the end of the day color has nothing to do with it, its what you feel about the other person. I dont look at my partner as a 'white man', i see him as a loving, sweet guy and he see's me as a loving sweet gf.
I believe the best bit about having an interracial relationship is about the strong bond but its also about the stunning children born from that same love!
Dont worry about what other ppl think, color is just a color... it doesnt bring you happiness, love or memories... your relationship with the other person does.

You may say that you are not prejudice. But if you are against interracial dating,or relationships you are at least a little if not totally prejudice. It is a known fact that people,no matter what color they are,can be attracted to the opposite sex. This is 2006,not 1920.I don't see anything wrong with it if the two people love each other. It should have nothing to do with anyone one else.Especially prejudice people such as yourself.

People have prejudices about a lot of things, because they were taught that way by their parents. Interracial relationships are not wrong, but because of some people's prejudices, interracial couples are sometimes subjected to stares and comments from ignorant people.

NO!, I was made from an interracial relationship. My mum is German and my father was chinese. But for my childhood it was hard, neither the Germans or Chinese accepted me. You see, it is only the children made that may suffer in an interracial relationship. This is why, some people think it's bad. Other's are just racist.

Only dumbasses think so.
We're all people; why does it honestly matter what country each person's ancestors were from? A better question would be, "Why would anybody think that interracial relationships are wrong?"
The only problem I see with interracial relationships is prejudice from intolerant racists and bigots.

Color is just that, we are all God's children..It can cause some problems with finding your place in life if you are born white and black I would think, I have not lived through this so I don't know, i think the children have the most problem..but only by other people..there are still bigots out there, they don't even like themselves...But there are challenges in all marriages, you have to make your self happy, so make your own choice..dont do it to hurt someone else or to make a statement....

I don't think they are wrong, per se. However, I do think that good relationships, even of the same race, are a lot of work to achieve, and that racial differences may make things even more difficult, considering what family members may feel, etc. If you have a good relationship, great. You will, though, have to accept the obstacles that will surely enter your path. If you can manage that, more power to you. Good luck.
