You need to be discussing your panic attacks with a counselor. Finding out why and when they started will help. Learning to talk yourself out of those thoughts is important. Begin by seeing how the thoughts are not logical. Worrying has not solved anything, has it? So understand that it is useless and totally counter productive.
Focus on the here and now. What is actually true right now. For example; you get a thought that makes you fearful. Ask yourself immediately if it is rational. If not, then begin to talk to yourself about what is rational.
If zoloft is not helping, I suggest you ask to be taken off of it and begin to work on your problems with talk therapy if that is an option. Antidepressants cause problems too. They are not a magic pill by any means for the vast majority of people on them. In this country, they are prescribed like candy by doctors not versed in psychological disorders.

The first thing that I would do, is find a good counselor and get off of the Zoloft. That only works for alittle. You need to find out where all the things you are feeling is coming from. I know it is easier said than done, but try not to let everything bother you. I use to do the same thing. I had to change my way of thinking. I now think, if I get stressed out, what is it going to solve. What can I do to fix the problem instead of stressing about it. Or is there even an answer to the problem that I am stressing about. Also try to learn to do something that will help you relax. A 20 min walk really helps to put things in order and where they should be in your life.
Good luck,
shelley

For people like yourself it takes a lot of practice to get to a point where you don't worry yourself sick. I know because I am the same way. You need to keep reminding yourself that you can't control whatever the circumstance is that is upsetting you so much. If you can't do anything about it, don't worry about it. Along with a lot of prayer you can get there. Start small about the little things and do what you can to not worry about it and once you see the world didn't end when you didn't worry yourself sick, it will be easier each and every time you do it.

First of all, it is not easy and there is no one answer. Depending on any disorders present such as anxiety or panic attacks, medication can alleviate symptoms. You can help yourself let go of things by thinking of your mind like a Teflon pan and when you catch yourself dwelling on something, recall the fact that the thought is like an egg that slides onto one side of the pan and can easily slide right off the other side. Keep the image in your mind and after you have checked yourself, replace your thought with something positive. It is true that exercise, diet, relaxation techniques also help. I heard a panel of experts recently say that they start the day naming 10 things they are thankful for so this is merely redirecting your thoughts and mind focus and it is effective also. I have found this a daily struggle but it is worth it.

You have to convince yourself that everything is okay, take deep breaths, and get your mind focused on something else. If this doesn't work, see your doctor or a psychiatrist for something else like ativan or xanax.
