I think when we are born God knows all about us (when ,how we'll die and etc.) In the movie Bruce Almighty, I liked the part where Morgan Freeman ( God ) told Bruce that he could change all things, but not someone's free will. I think we have enough rope, but God hopes we have enough faith in him not to hang ourselves. I've found that a lot of people, my husband included try to make God some big complicated person. I've found through my life that he's my old friend that I can tell anything to and is always with me. When I think I'm at the bottom of the barrel, he's the barrel. Just love him Honey, and don't sweat the little details.

The idea of fate or predetermination does not occur in the Bible, arguably the best source on God. We can choose whether we will follow God’s moral guidance or not. That is why the prophet Moses could say: “I do take the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you today, that I have put life and death before you, the blessing and the malediction; and you must choose life in order that you may keep alive, you and your offspring, by loving Jehovah your God, by listening to his voice and by sticking to him.”—Deuteronomy 30:19, 20.
And Deuteronomy 32:4 says that "all his ways are justice." He is not cruel, but 1 John 4:8 actually tells us he is love. Created in God's image (Genesis 1:27), people have free will and are able to choose whether to follow his laws (but not all of them- what if we decided to ignore gravity?). So why would such a powerful God permit suffering?
This article on Jehovah's Witnesses' official website will answer just that very question. People should be asking such questions.

Hi Harry... Well you are not the only one to have such questions in your head. Well whatever happens in our lives are accidents mostly. One more thing may be you can seek the answers to your questions at a site named www.positiveatheism.org. In case its not very hard on you - reading about atheism. I am an atheist and i am very much clear on such concepts. When anyone says that one has to pay for what they do, is simply a correlation of things which are happenning in their lives and what they have been doing so far. Lets take an example - one can say if a person who is mean and selfish will have to pay for his selfishness. Now see how. Its nothing to do with god or something. Its plain logic. See one who is selfish will not be able to make true friends in his/her life so when he needs someone in his/her time of need then he will realise that there is none at his rescue. So we say that he has paid for his misdeeds. So its simple every action has a reaction. In case of question regarding Destiny now this explaination also fits the destiny question. And exceptions are accidents as i mentioned earlier. Hope this answers your question. Plz go through the site i mentioned you may find your answers there.

You have your free will in life. You know the difference between right or wrong, and you know what God expects from you. It is your choice which path you want to take. Remember there is a final judgement day. You will be accounted for your good deeds or bad deeds, and then you will go to heaven or stay and pay for your sins.
Your destiny is flexible. There are some pre destiny facts that you can not change. Those facts are major lessons you have to learn in life. Those lessons are part of your learning process to teach you to become a better or worse person. It is up to you how you learn. Everything is part of your spiritual growth. Otherwise we do not change in life.

dear friend, i think what u r trying to ask is whether we have the FREE WILL to shape our lives or if FATE decides our live. i would say there is both to it. i beleive we r not animals sutck in a cage by god. yet at the same time there r somethings that we cannot change. for eg. i may b born in a poor family, u might b born in a rich family. what decides that is in my belief, is karma. but how i lead my life n how u lead ur life mayb different, values n principles that guide us will b different depending on some of our innate qualities n environment. so in the end u might end up poor n i might end up rich in the later stage of life. things like accidents, disease night b sometimes predetermined n some times brought upon by our action. so its a bit difficult to draw the line between both. but where does god come in? when we surrender n take every event that happens to us as a will of god irrespective of good or bad, then things will start to change. not that only good things will happen, but even if bad things happen u'll b able to face it easily.

It was difficult to understand what you're asking. I assume that English isn't your first language.
If I understand you, I think you're asking about the eternal plan of God. About predestination vs. free will and how can God allow suffering.
I can tell you this. God said in His Holy Word that people will experience pain and pleasure in their lives as a result of the nature of man. When sin entered the world, suffering also came along with it. If there was never sin, there wouldn't be suffering. Sin creates a chain reaction of events which leads to suffering. It is our own fault that suffering exists on this earth, not God's.
Now as far as predestination is concerned, I can tell you this:
God has a plan for this world. His plan will come to fruition as He wants. However, inside His plan, there is flexiblity for change as long as it doesn't distrupt the general plan He has for the world.
For example, what job you get might not interfere with His plan for the world, so you can get the job you choose to. There are limits to everything, and we will never fully know how much free will we actually have and how much God controls things.
That will be answered after we die.

Both the statements are correct. But one thing that is missing is the free will.
Like if a situation is destined to happen, it will definitely happen. But how you react to it will create Karma for your next birth, because your current destiney is written as per your past doings.
Just like if some one hits us, we have a free choice to respond back, or think on the reason why that person hit, and should I also do the same. This is just a example..to help you understand what i want to convey.

YOU, my friend, are in control of your own self, thoughts and actions! We are not robots! We have free choice!
If God was controlling our lives- then all the horrific sins committed by men at any given time, are the responsibility of God alone and men are then blameless!
However, God is giving US a choice- LIFE or DEATH! WE decide our own direction!
Deu 30:19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live.

Ecclesiastes 3:16
...“The [true] God will judge both the righteous one and the wicked one, for there is a time for every affair and concerning every work there.
God does make sure that there is justice in the world. We only see small sections of peoples lives, so sometimes it looks like bad people have good things come to them, and good people have bad things come to them. But we can be sure that in the end, God rewards bad for bad, and good for good.

I do not believe that God runs people's lives. That is why we were given free will, so that we could choose to do what God wanted or not and to a further extent do things for ourselves and be selfish or help others and be selfless.
Genesis 4
7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.
