I don't live anywhere near you, but I would try local churches and schools. Around here (FL), they often have "new or gently used" toy drives this time of year. Even if they aren't having one, I'll bet your schools know some kids that could use them.
I'm sorta like you, I use to donate a lot to thrift stores (Salvation Army, Goodwill, Hospice, etc), but I was under the impression they gave them to needy, or the needy at least got to buy them at a low price --- until I went in and saw the prices they were charging [that doesn't apply to all places or items]. So now, I'd rather do like you are doing.
Merry Christmas!

I am not from your area so I cant really give you an accurate answer. I admire you for what you want to do.
I can tell you that my sister in law heads up a Salvation Army store here and they use all the proceeds from donated items they sell to help people in need. They give people food, clothing , toys and other items who are poor or who have lost their homes to fire or other natural disasters. If you cant find a place to "recycle" the toys you may consider donating them to your local Salvation Army if you have one there. They help people at Christmas time.
You might also try freecycle.org to see if they have a group in your area. I am a member. It's a wonderful group.

A sirius choice is to sponsor a shelter party for those that
need the jobs, for christmas. I gave 1000.00 once and the
very poor fixed 200 plus toys and cleaned, shined, and fixed
every one of those I could get delivered. I asked for a church
to donate a meal and HQ for the event, lasted 3 weeks, they
also held a signup list, raised over 5,000 more for needy families. Some have kept it going this year for the fourth year.
All I have to do is visit and I have each year to drive workers.

If there is a Children's Hospital in Lynnwood, call them and ask if they can use them for the kids.

Hey neighbor, I would say contact your local women's shelter. I like donating my items there.
