I just bought a very expensive and nice copy of the Qu'ran for a friend. My question is can you wrap it in a box with wrapping paper? Or would it be best just to keep it stored and then give it to them without the wrapping? I don't want to disrespect the book or do anything that would offend someone as this is beyond sacred book!

I sort of had this feeling not to wrap it up and just keep it at the top of my closet with the other Qu'rans that I have, so thanx

Hello dear. First of all- yes, it is sacred. When I give it as a gift I wrap it in some fine material (velvet or a fine cotton-) then I wrap over that material with wrapping paper.
Sometimes after I wrap it in the cloth material I put it in a box then with wrapping paper.
You are a nice friend. Peace be with you.

It does not matter if you wrap it or not. But if you want to follow the tradition of giving gifts I would say wrap it or put it in a gift bag. I don't think it would be offensive to them, it shouldn't really be.

This the cause of most of the worlds trouble and you call it sacred?
