Limewire is a place to SHARE your music.
This means you can't add some copyrighted music, but can share the music you make or sing of another artist.

If you want to use it, you should sign up, or get someone to stream music to a file ready to download.
Although, it's illegal to download music, everybody nearly does that.
It's bad because there are usually viruses in the stuff you download.

1. You will see search torrents thats where you type in the person you want to download.
2. Select Torrent Site go under Isohunt
The only thing that sucks is that you have to download the whole Cd but the good thing of that you get songs that you like that you didnt know that the person had
Im not sure if you have to do this part because my cousin did all things to my cousin hes a computer geek ... You might have to download BitTorrent

It is P2P software, much like KaZaa or Ares. It is about as safe as you allow it to be. The most important thing to consider is to look up safe surfing tips if you decide to use it.
I'm sure many people will tell you that you will get viruses if you download software, but that is not a guarantee. You have to use a bit of common sense. If it is a game, it should be more than 1 KB. The same thing goes for anything else. Also, you should be equipped with a good virus protection system. That is important for surfing the internet anywhere.
Also, you should decide morally if you want to use it to obtain software illegally. I believe the courts have ruled that P2P software itself is not illegal, however, sharing copyrighted materials is, and always will be, illegal. It is simply your choice.

Limewire is free. It's just as safe as the other guys. I would suggest you have an up-to-date virus and spyware protection program-- preferrably not downloaded from any site other than downloads.com-- and try to stay away from porn (I'm not assuming anything). Generally try to avoid downloading programs-- they're riddled with viruses, too. But if you just want music and stuff, limewire's fine.

All its required is a internet connection really. You dont have to sign up. Yes its free. I can tell you that its pretty good. I have downloaded songs from it. Never had a problem. Never had a bad file come through. <-Comment was not rude

Limewire is not the best music downloader. Its illegal, full of viruses, and has no reason to even excist on the world wide web.

It is free but I got loads of spyware & viruses from Limewire and it was very difficult to remove. Hope this helps
