I am trying to raise $5,000 US for a school and healthcare center in Haiti. But I need to find a great fundraiser. So I want to know what is the best fundraiser you have seen from experience. thank you.

One was a poker run.
The other was cow patty bingo.
You can research both on the Internet. Many people within the U.S. hold such fundraisers and have great success.

Here is the answer I gave to another person who asked almost the same question as you. She had to raise $3K for her daughter's shooling:

I had to raise money for a few different charities this year and last year, so hopefully, some of these suggestions work:
- have a garage or yard sale and make sure the signs you post say the proceeds are for your daughter's school. People will spend more.
- ask your local storesif they will allow you to put up donor jars. Most are open to this is they don't have some already. Make sure you put a picture of your charity or students on the jar and a nice desciption of both, etc...
- bake cookies with a theme and sell them for a dollar each. People love big cookies in decorative wrappers. You can get celophane baggies in different colors from you local craft store. Tie them closed with a ribon. Ask your local retailers, grocers or bakeries if they will allow you to put a tray out once a week.
- get an item of value donated and auction it off on-line at ebay or amazon
- have a few 50/50 raffles. you can purchase rolls of raffle tics from any party supply. Sell the tics for $1-5 dollars. People will almost always buy tickets if they have a chance to win much more money back.
- ask your local grocer if you could sell fundraising candy outside the door of their establishment. The Cub Scouts have been doing this for years and they raise all kinds of money.
-have a car wash! In the summer you could raise all kinds of $. Don't set a price for the wash, let people give what they want to donate. They will give you more this way.

I know I have been other answers with this but we have a heartwalk here and had them get a team together and raise as much money as they could individually or even as a team. My office even had a supervisor sundae which we had jars out and we put the most money in the jar of the supervisor that you wanted to see turn into a human sundae. It was a blast and my team actually got first place last year with bake sales and the sundae. Good luck and I hope you raise a lot of money!

We sold lunch at work one day. We had hot dogs, chips and soda. All food was donated by employees who wanted to help.
We raised 2200.00 in one day. Part of it came from a rafel, someone donated a wooden bear that was made using some kind of chain saw out of a log or tree trunk,it was nice.
