i lost ton of weight and now weighing at 165 at 5'7. i been on a healthy deit(1800 calories a day) and excercing . now i want to build muscle. so a trainer tells me that i can't build muscle b/c im not eating enough calories through out the day so he made me a list of what i should eat. and what i should work out.

in the morning. 6 eggs, some oatmeal, two wheat bread a tea spoon of flaxceed oil and some multivitiams.

2 hours later. a peanut butter sandwhich with a bananna

2 hours later. some fish with brown rice and a potein shake.

2hours later. some protien meat on wheat bread

30 min later. go to the gym work out 45-1 hour and 30 min cardio

go home. have some fish with rice .

45 min before bed. have a peanut butter sanwhich or a protein sake with a multivitaims

my real question is is that too much calories. will i get fat from that diet. i wanna get little big and alot cut . i don't want to gain all my weight back. help please.

as long as you keep working out like crazy you will build up muscle. your body needs more calories to build muscle. i'm sure your trainer knows what he's talking about.

With all respect to your trainer, the eating every 2 hours is ok. I prefer every 3 hours. Now to the food.

6 eggs every day? ONE egg is 70% of your daily intake of cholesterol.

A good protein meat would be canned chicken breast in water. Drain the water, has oil.

Yes, you can build muscle. I went from 190 pounds to my present 274 pounds. From a medium shirt to a XXL shirt.

Say you have a cup of muscles and a cup of fat, then the muscle will weigh approx 20%-25% more.

Keep eating sensibly the way you are. You can weight train to build muscles with your diet. If you want to become an overinflated, muscle bound loser go with the trainers diet. His diet is only for serious weight training competitors.
