Take a look at the news and you will see that we cannot solve all our own problems. A terminally ill person cannot solve their own problems or a person who was sexually abused for years. God is life and love itself and we cannot take a breath without his permission. We are made in a way that we need love and need to give love. Small babies have been known to die if they do not receive enough affection, so we do need love. Life can be totally miserable not believing in God and having the peace Jesus can give you. I bet you a billion dollars if you are about to die you will call on God, everyone always does. Because deep down you know you need him. Trust me your life is better off with God in it!

one time- I was faced with two really crummy choices- somebody was going to die and somebody else was going to be, well, lets keep it simple here and say deeply disapppointed (this is an oversimplification for a life changing event). There was no way I could make a choice that would work out well in the end.

I did the best I could but one person did die and two people were disappointed. I was really upset for 3 or 4 days and then, all of a sudden I felt a forgiveness that came over me. Maybe I could have gotten there myself- but my religious beliefs allowed it to happen much sooner.

I guess people that never had to make a hard choice find it easier to criticize God and religion.
