last night me and my bf had our first argument (not bad after 2 months of dating) he meant to meet me after work and after standing outside for 20 mins i rang him and he said he was at work and he forgot to tell me. this upset me so we had a little argument. but a hour later he turns up at my house he said he paid his mate £60 to cover his shift as he loves me to much not come and say sorry. he then spent most of the night saying he loves me. is he just saying this because he upset me or do you think he means it.

i think that he was sorry but, every couple has arguments now and then. dont take it too seriously. i think that he really means that he cares for you alot and that he really loves you too.

If that is all you have to worry about after the guy takes off work pays someone else then spends the rest of the night telling you he loves you....what more do you want from the man.....or are you teenagers which is more likely.....if he didn't mean it he would of stayed at work and dealt with it the next day....be happy stop looking for problems

Maybe he was telling his other gf he loves her, and you were over hearing. Maybe his "mate" is actually a paid sex worker, £60 for a shag sounds about right.

if he stayed at your house all night without trying anything with you, and just saying he loves you i don't think you have a lot to worry about. he's a keeper! hope everything works out

Personally, if he gave someone money so he could get to you and tell you he's sorry face to face - I think he's sorry.
Men won't go out of their way or spend money on someone they aren't interested in.
