It depends on your body type I would not recom a 800 calorie a day it you can actually make your body have no energy you need to make sure that your eating right there is one diet you can do it helps alot I did and lost 20 pounds 3 weeks its the low sodium diet watching your salt intake. and also when you eat eggs on only white eggs and not the yolk. Mrs dash seasoning is great to it has not salt eat lots of protein (chicken, Fish, tuna) stay away from red meat right now and also no soda drinks lots of water it flushes your system of the toxins. watch your portions on how much you eat and eat 6 sml meals a day dont eat past 7 pm I hope this helps you. it helped me.

Short term sure, and you'll set yourself up for lowering your immune system and going crazy looking at holiday food.
Why don't you rethink this and do something sane. Why lose it by the 25th, that is just around the corner. You should have begun this months ago to lose it correctly so you will keep it off.
It is a lifestyle change. Healthy eating (not starving yourself), exercise (walking is great) and drink lots of water. No sodas, fatty foods and severely limit salt intake (retains water).
If you are lazy, you need to change that mindset too. This is to keep you healthy in the long run, so do it for your future.

No, it will slow down your metabolism. If you did it for only a few days at a time (the 800 calories) and then jumped up a bit to 1100 again.... But you didn't hear that from me. I understand. You don't want to disrupt home life with exercise life when you've got enough on your plate already. Something's got to give soon though if you want all the weight off. Good luck!

**Choose a lifestyle change not a month change.**
Losing weight fast will only lead to you gaining the weight back just as fast.
It is recommended that you loose no more than 3 pounds a week at most. Cutting back on portions at meal times and little to no sweets. No donuts in the morning and no desert after dinner. This should start you down the right path.

Short-term, yes. But you might not lose that much, and then your metabolism will slow down. Instead, I would eat 1200 a day, go for an hour-long walk every day, and lose it by Valentine's Day.
