We just started dating this past thanksgiving. Prior to that we've been friends since school started and have known each other since freshman year. He's buying me a rabbit for Christmas and I just went out and bought him a $120 mp3 player. We're both 17 and don't work. I know he loves music, and he says I didn't have to get him anything. But I really wanted to. Is this too much?

look.all i have 2 say is y did u buy a mp3 player 4 $120?if he didn't buy u anything den y give him sumthing?but...if u really did want 2 buy him sumthing(if he gives u a gift back),i think u should get him a CD since he likes music.so, in da future, whenever u wanna go out & buy him or whoever else you're dating sumthing, don't spend over $25 on him cuz he shuld be going out & buying u sumthing dat's over $120.hope everything goes real good 4 u.

I personally think thats too much but evryone are different and im guessing since you don't work that money is coming from your parents or what. But if you's break up in the end you would of spent all that money on him.

He should be spending money on you, not the other way around. I made that mistake with my past 3 boyfriends, buying them expensive birthday and christmas presents, and they just took my money and left. With one of them, I own half his car, and I had to buy my own Valentines present! Don't do it.

Don't return it... If you love him, show it. Give it to him, make him happy!
..Although I'm sure he's very satisfied/happy with what he's got! you!!
Sorry.. I guess I'm starting to sound a lot like a psychologist.
Anyway, best of wishes!

way too much to spend on a "new" b/f. Let him spend on you first.
