God would be awesome at hide-and-seek. I've been looking my entire life and I still haven't found him.

God is manifested within your imagination. Just focus on everything that you find beautiful, disconnect it from yourself, and you may develop the holy spirit within you. Prayer is when you do that. Its when you focus on that beautiful thought. The more you pray, the holier you become and the rest of your actions follow. God is that holiness. He (or "the presence" if you prefer) is not some 'thing' that can be sought out as a finite manifestion. If that were the case, God's creativity towards his own image would be very limited indeed.

Yeah, but did you check really down deep in the couch cushions? Also, try the drain in the bathroom sink. Kids put all manner of things down the drain:-)

The god you are looking for has a proper name ( Allah ), the one who sent down all the messangers and prophets to guide humans to the right path of worshipping the only one God; Allah . Allah has sent Adam, Noah, Joseph, Moses, Jesus, and Mohammad - peace be upon them all- with the same one message ( to worship the only God.) and live in harmony with one another and the universe as well.
Moses was sent down with Torah. Jesus with the Bible, Mohammad with Quran.
the god your looking for has no human attributes. no children, no wife, no need for food or water. A merciful god that's also able to punish those who commit atrocities and generate evil.
When you r happy, you thank Allah. when you r sad you ask Allah for help and guidance, when you r in trouble, you can be assured that Allah is their for you...
Allah is a great god with whom you need no one else.

Have you tried drugs, or a self-inflicted brain injury?
Most of the believers here seem to have been victims of shaken baby syndrome.

it's actually easy to find God. pray to Him, even you haven't know Him yet. see this complicated world, this absolutely perfect world...then hear your deep blue heart. they all are impossible available by themselves. there is One who create those.
God is One who shows you the totally truth to your eyes, bring it all in front of your face. no fail, no imperfect stuff.
just read Al Qur'an. you'll find Him there.

Look in your own imagination. If you can't find one there, you likely don't need one. Ancient peoples needed Gods, but perhaps you don't.

In story books, such as the Bible and Quran. You'll find that fictional character there and in other books.
