They speak Farsi, not Arabic. They do not consider themselves Arab, unlike the other Muslims in the Middle East.

Islam is a religion, not a race. Most people are ignorant and cannot understand that a Muslim can be a Semite or Aryan ( Persian) or Asian (Filipino, Indonesian) or white (like east European Muslims).
A big percentage of Iran is composed of Persian who are of Caucasian origin and are racially closer to West Europeans. Hence they are the non -Semite Muslims different from Arabs. That's about it. The Persian Empire did not willingly become Islamic, they were basically put to the sword by the Arabs, 13 centuries ago. The entire Persian empire and culture was obliterated; kinda what the evolved and civilized Spanish Catholics did to the Mayans, Incas etc....

1.Iranians belong to the Shia branch of Islam, one of the two main groupings, the other being 'Sunni'.
2.Iranians are not Arabs and do not speak Arabic. They speak a language called Farsi.

speaking from a western point of view the Iranians are shia Muslim that have strange customs that are unfounded in the Koran. for example cutting your head, wiping blood on yourself and running around the streets yelling and dancing around.
the media wants us to think that all Islam is like this

(c) The population is more pro-American (in secret) than other people in the Middle East - or Europe for that matter.

They are not Arabs,they are Persians more closly related to Indians and Pakis.Although you could fool me!
Persians are from Noah's son Shem ,where Arabs are from Noah's son Ham mixed with Shemites.

They are Shia' Muslims.
Everyone else is Sunni, except for parts of Iraq. There are Shiites there too.
