Claudiuccia mean?

if someone told you Claudiuccia, what is the exactly meaning?, is like an italian way to call, Claudia?

I´m going to go out on a limb here since I haven´t practiced my Italian in a long time. However, I do vaguely remember the "uccia" use at the end of a name because it´s very similar to the "ucha" that is used in my native Mexico.

Basically, it´s just a form of a term of endearment but has no literal translation; a way for someone to "personalize" your name to their friendship. (Similar, but not quite the same as we do in English with some names: Bob-Bobby, Susan-Suzie, etc. And, as in English, it doesn´t work with all names.)

I have an Italian neighbor who calls a few of the neighbors like that: Pattiuccia, Juanuccio, Marceluccia, etc. Sometimes the ending sounds like, "ootseeah/oh" and sometimes it sounds like "oocheeoh/ah."

It is an Italian name for a woman, then again Claudia is of Italian origin too. I guess it's like Susan and Susana are both names we have here.

It is a 'pet name' way of saying Claudia. Quite cute really!
