I would love to go about walking my dog freely at any park in NY without having to consider seasons. There are some parks that allows us dog owners to walk our dogs in the most remote places of a park during summer, but everywhere in the cold winter months. What I would like to have is a DECENT section of a park dedicated solely for dogs; where they can run and stretch their legs to their heart's content! Is that too much to ask?????

it's simple. PooPoo. Tha's what it's all about. More people want to walk bare footed and lay down a picnic blanket on poo poo free grass then there are people with dogs. So the non-dog owners win.

Unfortunately your question justifies why large cities restrict dog use. You said "at any park" As you know large in city parks where designed for people and children. How would you like an irresponsible dog owner letting his dog do his business in your children's sand box? When I lived in NY I would take my dogs to the water front and the dogs would play to their hearts content.

here in Florida where lucky to have dog parks but dogs are restricted from people parks
