Because most people don't have real love in mind when they date.
Sometimes people have "movie" love in mind. Like a lot of women with sleepless in seattle conplexes, a good love happens in 2 hours flat and always ends with a happy ending. Anything to the contrary and its over.
Sometimes people have physical "love" in mind. A lot of people mistake sex for intimacy or just use "love" as a means to get someone to open their legs.
Sometimes people want love, but have no idea how to relate, communicate or otherwise co-exist with the opposite sex. The best of intentions will only get you so far, before you need to actually "get along" and work through the things that make up your relationship.
Love in itself is a fine enough thing, but just remember, theres a reason why you only marry one person. You may only have "good love" with this one person and no other over the course of your whole life. Thats also why it becomes imperitive that the one you DO marry is the one you WILL have a good love with, a good relationship with and THEN share a good family and a good home with. In truth, I can only see a "good love" as taking 50 years to build upon what started as just love.

Because God only intended us to have one true love and there are a ton of people in the world, you just have to be patient. You'll find the right person some day.

Iam also in the same question of this... to me it seems like who ever I run into for which I may seek potential in perhaps a mate-through the years of course,many seem to want to take from the person who you are vs full acceptance,and expect you to conform to their personal ways. In many cases,I personally shine my own personal light vs follow.but I know compromises,and the differences between being over run with things or differences that may personally harm me as a person.

because if it was easy then it jsut wouldn't be life and because it is so hard to find a good love when you do it makes it even more special
