Did your cat go outdoors and get hit by a car? Please take this cat to a vet - there is usually at least one 24 hour vet hospital in each city.
If you can't afford to do this, please drop off the cat at the human society or a similar organization.
If this cat is indeed suffering, it needs to be put to sleep (if no one will pay for its care).
I am soooo sorry to hear about this!!! (*hug*)
please do something quick, suffering should not be dragged out.

Your cat could have a serious physical injury (such as a fracture, sprain, twisted muscle ligament, etc) or an internal problem (such as kidney stones, twisted stomach, etc).
The only positive answer that should be given in this case is that you NEED to take them to a veterinarian. If funds are tight due to the holidays, search around on Google.com for "low cost veterinarians".. I'm not sure where you live, but here in California we have many places that offer low cost pet clinics that do initial screenings for like $10.00
You can also call several cat rescues in your area (either google.com them or look for local places on www.petfinder.com) and ask them for their reccomended low cost vets.
I would line this up ASAP, because if its something small and only requires a cheap medication or small preventitive overlook, you could wind up spending literally thousands down the line for ignoring it and having it worsen.
