Hi my dad works for the police not in new york but in california. My dad and mom were having a big discussion about that and it became really heated. My mom was angry because she said if he keeps opening his big mouth about stuff like that he's going to lose his job and he wont be able to support his family anymore. My dad is the most untypical police detective you could imagine. He said those officers in new york probably comitted murder and if he was on the case they would be in jail facing a murder charge. My dad investigates homicides (cold cases) but he's so unpopular with his co workers that no one wants to work with him. He asked me to be his partner and said his little princess (that 's what he calls me) has more brains in her little finger than half the people working there. Oh he's just kidding about me being his partner. I think I get my sense of humor from my dad. Anyway Im curious, why would my dad think that they killed those three men in New York?

First off you have to understand that police in any state, county or city are people of a different breed and their opinions can certainly be different than yours or mine and for the most part they always see their opinion as not only the right one but the only one.
IF infact that man killed at his wedding was a Felon with warrants it is possible that this ocassion was the only one where the police could be certain that they could find him.
Now if he resisted arrest, the police do whatever they can to gain control of the situation and as much as I hate to admit it,sometimes they have no choice but to use force.
Actually I think that unless you are being fired upon,no one should be shot and or killed during pursuit/arrest but unless you are there and going through the situation it is hard to say just what was going on and just how much time these officers had in making decisions, decisions that will help them go home at the end of their shift.

Be careful who you get your advice from around here. Heinz M is incorrect solely on the fact that there is no weapon specification in penal law. Deadly force can be used (by anyone, including peace officers) when a person is in fear for their own safety to the degree of serious bodily injury or death. A person can accomplish that with a vehicle.

Your dad would be very unpopular with those views. He should do like the rest of us and wait for the outcome before he starts placing blame. I wouldn't want to work with him either since I'd have to be able to count on him as my back-up if I was being hit by a car.

because of the former Muslim women folk who come forward whilst they're out from the shakles of an oppresive way of existence. because of the fact an analogous standards are not utilized to adult men. because of the fact the Qur'an says the girls are below equivalent to adult men. It does not annoy you whilst a good looking guy would be unable to be taken heavily? wager what, grown united statesare able to think of a individual is gorgeous and take them heavily. advance up. If the adult men in that faith would be unable to, then yet blindfolds on them, they're those with the project. So what, distinctive cultures have distinctive naming conventions. Who the **** is inspired with that? In Mexico the little ones get the final names of the two their mum and dad. Yeah. that's ideal. greater egalitarian than the religion you're pretending isn't sexually biased.

Had he been on the scene, he would have been firing shots with the rest of them.

A car full of knon criminals ( one just happened to be getting married, had nothing to do with case excpet make people feel sorry for him)

he was armed ( a fact not released for along time in fear the gun would not be found)

The car had just ran over a police officer and rammed a car with officers in it.

Since it was likely they were trying to kill the officer they hit, and had no regard to human life, the officers wanted to stop the car, in the process of stoping the car, the driver was killed.

Although they may have broken policy, they did not break the laws.

I don't know of any officer who thinks they did wrong, after knowing the real facts.

It is unfortunate for your father that there are no other officers who want to work with him although I find it hard to believe it is simply because he thinks those officers were wrong. A car can be used as a deadly weapon and if a person/officer feels as though he is being threatened with a level of force that will render serious physical injury or death then he/she is justified in using a level of force above that being used in order to stop that threat. That being said, let's wait for the evidence to come out before we convict anyone of any wrong doing.

Lets say the case was very disturbing!!!

One would like to know more. Were the police acting in self defense in any way? Lots of bullets fired but was he trying to run over somebody? What happened.

If they did commit murder, one hopes but doubts they will be charged with it.

To convict anyone in the press is wrong. Let the incident have the benefit of a honest investigation and then draw your conclusions.

Since none of us were there, it's difficult to say. Hopefully, the truth will come out and appropriate action will be taken, legally of course.

Whenever an unarmed man gets killed by anyone, and that INCLUDES police officers, the killer is a murderer and should be treated as such.
Your dad seems to be an admirable exception to those scum.
