i was at this damce and my friend said that this guy was looking at me so i want over and asked him to dance he said yes. but when i asked what his name was he told me a different name that what my friend siad his name was. so i walked away from he becuase i did not want to deal with that.

Well i do in fact lie about my name sometimes. I think its weird for some guy you dont know (or girl) who seems shady to know my name. Im sure you are nice and all but in todays world it seems people are watching their backs a little more...
Like seriously i dont want somenppl to know my name also. As well, since it was the guy this time he probaly was just protecting himself...maybe he wanted to tell you that so if he thought you were crazy or something...yeah you know.
OR, maybe hes just a habitual liar, or maybe he really has two names (like my name is chavona but every knows me as Chai.) I dont know girl but dont stress to much...if the guy really is a habitual liar then you go girl, it is good that you left the situation...i know i would have...lol

If the first thing he says to you is a lie then don't waste your time with this loser. It's his name for heavens sake . If he lies about that then he's ashamed of some thing or wants to hide something. Not worth your time!!!!!!!!!!

i think ppl lie about their name because they r shy or have bad pasts that they dont want u to know about. my advice wen u know for a fact they lied ask them again and then ask them y they told ur friend something differeent! good luck :D

If I'm traveling I don't want to tell complete strangers my name.

Usually because you don't know the person, they could be bad. I know one girl who did it just because she didn't like her name. I know some other ppl who did it just for fun.

cuz either they dont like their real name or dey dont want u 2 kno their real name (4 some reason) or everyone calls dem dat but because of der stupid p's dey have a different name
4 ex. my name iz alyssa but everyone calls mi either aly, or nicky or even shorty...cuz dats wat i like bein called
