Sure. The question is, what historical basis do you have for such an assertion? The canonical Gospels are first-century texts, with their roots in oral tradition of the first generation of disciples. All the Gnostic texts on which these sorts of speculations are based are fourth-century at least, and very obviously (from a scholarly point of view) from a Hellenistic, not a Semitic, milieu.
Basically, put down the pop culture junk, and pick up some *real* scholarship. Start with Joachim Jeremias' book "Jerusalem in the Time of Jesus" and maybe "New Testament Theology."

He was not a normal man though. He was God Almighty in the body of a man and who lived like a normal man while on earth. He said so many times that he only does what The Father tells him to do and only does what he sees the Father do. God The Father did not marry a woman nor did he send Jesus to marry one. If that was in the plan then that's what he would have done but it wasn't. Jesus came to live as a man, do miracles, die, and be resurrected to ensure each of us could be saved!
I don't think Christians have a problem with this story except for the fact that it was made up with no evidence and simply not true. The Bible though is a bunch of accounts of people who have seen what they wrote about and there is tons of evidence outside the Bible to prove it.

First of all Jesus was not married. In a hypothetical sense, Jesus could of been married and had child, and still be divine. But since he is divine, he is complete in himself. He wouldn't need a spouse.
Also you shouldn't trust Dan Brown. The only reason he wrote the book was out of pure hatred towards the Catholic church. Now how reliable do you think the book is? I'll tell you, its not.

Yes. The answer here is yes. Why? Simply, it is the inner that imports to the Heart and to the outer world, and of which the outer only carries the Divinity, for the outer is and never can be divine, only the conveyor of IT. You see?
That he wore the physical shell of a man, he did abide the laws of the Physical', see? He would have to, for to do otherwise would have rendered him in violation of the laws of Normalcy (Of Nature)-- spiritual normalcy -- in any world.
Thus, as a man, he carried best who carried in accordance with the laws of this world to which he was assigned. 'That' 'was' divinity...
All else that many have come to read and know and believe regarding virtually all holymen and holywomen and saviors has been fallacy at least and distortions of the truth at worst.

Jesus was not married and did not have children. Who do you believe the Bible or the Davinci Code. Jesus was not married to Mary Magdalene. He was here for a purpose to save mankind. Jesus was a man when he walked the earth.

yep but ignore that fictional crap , you want some real research on the topic Laurence Gardiner - Bloodline of the Holy Grail , best book i've read on the topic the logic is completely sound and backed by hard historical evidence
but to answer your question no I don't think it would effect his divinity if he was married or not
.
and to that moron above me processdude the gnostic gospels have more historical validity then the canon , take your propaganda elsewhere or at least do some reaserach before making ignorant statements but then again what more can one expect fro a christian

In Jesus' day and his religion it wasn't right for them to not be married, also she would have not been so close to him if they weren't married, so yes, they were married, but because Jesus held his diciples so close also, he kept it his secret so that they would not get jealous, although other factors caused them to become somewhat jealous anyways......read Angels and Demons if you havn't already, its a very very good book, personally i think it was better than the davinci code, but they were both good, READ IT

Yes. He was fully human as well as fully God. That means that he had human urges and desires too. Is it really so far fetched to believe that Jesus had a family? Children?
