nope...made it with tomatoes instead

I use to work at a sandwich shop and there were dozens of ppl who would ask me to put grilled onions on their grilled cheese sometimes bacon or ham. The most often was tomatoes, then it was grilled onions, every now and then someone would ask for black olives. From my experiences nothing is out of the ordinary anymore.

I haven't made it that way, but I would think the addition of sauteed onions in a grilled cheese sandwich would be good!

Yes i have had grilled cheese with onions............they are awesome!,but you need to cook the onions a little bit in better first and soften the onions up a little bit,they are great.Good luck

I've made grilled cheese but not with onions..... I use tomatoes.

aye but the best is grilled bacon,put it on toast then add cheese and onion at the top and grill it.mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm amazing.

Yes, with grilled onions. I also love my grilled cheese with tomatoes on it.......and pickles!!

im in the uk and we eat that lots its called welsh rabbit its lush you can also heat a pan put in some onions and cheese leave it melt then pour it over some bread thats great after you have tasted that you wont grill it again

No. But if you sauteed the onions first it might be like a philly cheesesteak...without the steak...yummm
