The Bible doesn't say the earth is 6000 years old but the book is true. There are sources outside the Bible that affirm that it is true. The prophecies for example: 1) The birth of Israel as a nation (1948) 2) The gathering of Jews again in Israel from around the world, 3) the flourishing of the desert lands of Israel again, 4) the revival of the Hebrew language, 5) the explosion of knowledge the past 100+ years

There are countless others that have come true. Please know that God is real and Jesus did die so you can be saved. He loves you very much and is trying to get you to see that this book is the truth. Don't you think that the phrase "totally shatters everything all of modern science is founded on" is something of an exaggeration? Especially when you already know that the Big Bang theory has been suspect ever since it was put forward? In any case your logic is ridiculous. You are saying that when there is no proof for either of two theories, you are justified in just picking one to believe. Disproof of 'Big Bang' may decrease the credibility of popular science, but it can't increase the credibility of the bible. It's like saying that catching Mitt Romney in a error proves that Newt Gingrich is always right. I can't brag about having been granted a degree by MIT, but I still recognize bad reasoning when I encounter it.

2. Mary was a virgin. There is no way to prove she wasn't but her fiancee did not have sex since they were not married.
3. If you can prove the "death never returns" theory, because there has been witnesses and stories of people coming back from the dead.
4. Where did Jesus go? His body was never found AFTER He ascended.
5. God condemns the homosexual act. It cannot produce life and the AIDS dilemma was brought about in Africa in homosexaul relationships.

How do you know for sure beyond a shadow of a doubt with concrete proof that all of those things you posted are true. At least Christians can back up their FAITH and BELIEF with scripture and some history. What do you have to prove that the earth is more than 6000 years old, Mary wasn't a virgin or that God did not raise His Son Jesus from the dead?
