depends on how you learn best. For me (visual learner) I study the pictures each kanji is meant to represent. There is stroke order (which lines come first, last, so on) which once you know the basic principles, it becomes easy with practice. It will take a lot of effort and practice on your part. Start out with a book of first grade and second grade Kanji. (like Kanji and Kana) The key is practice practice practice.
