According to the news stories the Rabbi had nothing against the trees. It was the airport's decision to remove the trees because they did not want to acknowledge any other religions. They could have solved this with one lousy menorah and everyone would have been happy:
"'Everyone should have their spirit of the holiday. For many people the trees are the spirit of the holidays, and adding a menorah adds light to the season,' said Bogomilsky, who works in Seattle at the regional headquarters for Chabad Lubavitch, a Jewish education foundation."

Jews dont think of Christmas trees as FILTH any more than Christians think a menorah is filth. Shame on you for trying to make the Jews look bad.

After reading this article, I WAS a supporter for Israel.
