Any physical activity can help you lose wieght. If you feel like you get a good cardio-vascular workout to DDR, then thats great, and if you enjoy doing it thats even better. There is no rule anywhere that says being healthy can't be fun. My advice, turn up the speed and just go crazy for 45 minutes to an hour. If you are out of breath then youre doing good.

Try the rose petal method but instead of saying "she/he loves me, she/he loves me not" say "DDR can help me lose weight, DDR cannot help me lose weight". :P
Seriously, it can help you to lose weight but you need a good amount of time using DDR. Also a diet that not only helps you lose weight but satisfies you as well would help too. Most people give up because they are unable to find that kind of diet for themselves.
Last, check for a consultation with a doctor of physical trainer who may help you on identifying the areas DDR is most affective and a diet appropriate for your body's needs.

Absolutly. Dancing in general is a great way to lose weight. Exercising doesn't have to be boring....if you find something you like such as riding a bike, swimming, dancing do it to it!! You'll have fun and feel better about YOU!

Of course. any extra movement is cardio and that will help race your metabolism. A healthy diet is for everyone, overweight or skinny.

Probably, but you'll really have to work at it and be consistent, just because it's fun doesn't mean you can blow it off.
