No, that would be an infringement on their personal liberties.

No, everyone has the right to pursue happiness, at least here in the US. Maybe there should be a tattoo you should have to get everytime you get married so you can spot that kind of person you are wanting a law against. I used to think guys that got a girl pregnant and ditched her should have to get a tattoo.

So then people who would've gotten married would instead be forced to "shack up", leaving the partners with no legal protections enjoyed by married couples?
This libertarian says no. We all should have the right, as competent adults, to pursue happiness in whatever way we will so long as we're not hurting anybody else.

if there was a law there would be 1. less ppl 2. less divorce 3. and of course a lot less marriage. maybe you got a point. oh and how about ppl that have married the same person more than 3 times? ( renewing their vows for example)?

If we can stop gay people from getting married I can't see why the government wouldn't step in on this as well. Personally I say that in this world of hatred that any sign of love is welcome, but I don't think many people really agree.

What do you mean? Like 3 strikes, you're out? I know what you're getting at- but the law has no say in such an issue, yet.

I think people should get to know eachother without shacking up and sleeping together and take their marriage vows (till death do us part) seriously?

no. The government shouldn't be involved in the marriage business anyway - it's a religious thing.
