Shouldnt this question be posted on a philosophy page?

It depends on weather you were conscious or not when you asked someone else to kill you. Another question would be if the person killed you with your permission is that morally not socially acceptable.

To answer your question though my oppinion is yes it is still suicide. The definition of suicide is basically killing yourself. Although someone else has carried out the action it is still your wish to be dead therfore you are to blame for it therefore you killed yourself.

funny question though.

Legally I'm not sure, though it would probably be a yes, with the someone else being an accomplice to murder. Theologically also yes, because it is you who's intending the death. There is one grey area I can think of, which is euthanasia. Although my religion, Islam, preaches that suicide is the greatest sin, I'm not sure what stand it takes on euthanasia. If you're in immense pain and you ask your carer to kill you, so that you can be released of this ordeal, is that suicide?

I hope nobody would be foolish enough to comply. Of course it is murder, which is defined as "To kill (another human) unlawfully". The fact that it is requested by the victim does not make it legal, in fact, it makes it worse, it becomes premeditated.
