Redemption and self-punishment are best served by running long distances. After running yourself to death for miles on end, your perspective on life will change a good bit. Or you can join a local fight club if you can find one.

You did all you can do. She can accept or deny your apology. Get on with life, and learn to take some time before saying something that may hurt yourself or another person. This is just a blip in your life, so don't dwell on it. When it gets too much for you to think about, focus on something else, or do something. Like, helping someone who has a need bigger than yours...older people, children, just change your focus. She will either come back and be your friend, or she won't. That choice is hers; how you handle the rejection or accept ion is your choice. Good luck.

What does this have to do with self pity?

Sometimes saying sorry isn't enough. It's just a word, afterall.

stop saying you are sorry for things that you did, just say that you will not do it again and if they ask you for an apology then that's the time to say sorry, i apologize!
