Any good video editing freeware?

Is there any good video freeware? I want to edit some videos and add special effects like making lightsavers look real and that kind of stuff. any ideas?

avid free dv editing software is available on thier website. It allows you to do dissolves, wipes, with multiple tracks of video and audio.

check out freewarefiles.com, and if u dont care abut being illegal try looking through torrent sites to find a program that is known to be good

Why not use Windows Movie Maker? Its really not THAT bad...and its built into windows.
