It is normal to feel guilt but it is what we do about it that counts. My mum used to say 'A problem shared is a problem halved'.I never listened. I kept all my guilts and fears and grudges to myself until I became very depressed and tried suicide. Please don't bury these things inside yourself. I would suggest finding someone you trust like a vicar, priest, doctor or counsellor(not a schoolfriend) and unburden yourself. When I did this it was like a great weight was lifted from my shoulders and all the pain and fear in the pit of my stomouch was removed. If you believe in God I suggest you say a prayer too because it will definitely help. In fact even if you don't believe I should try it. He will forgive you if you hurt anyone like I did. I had to make amends to those people too eventually.

I think we all have done things that we have/feel guilty for. You were young when you made your mistakes. As long as you learn from what you did, then you have won half the battle. The other half is not repeating what you did wrong. Something that I think that all of us fight each day. But have faith in yourself and use what was given to you, Your mind and the skill of right and wrong that were taught to you as a child.

I once broke up with my girlfriend and told her i was going to burn her house down, don't get worried or feel guilt these things are said in the heat of the moment and are throwaway comments i had no intention of doing anything to her house i just wanted to get her worried, it was stupid and i told her i was ashamed of myself for saying it the next day, we still have a good relationship as friends.

Yeah, you're not alone - it shows that you're a nice person that you show remorse / feel guilt etc - that's how I make myself feel better anyway

Yeah but don't worry about it too much, once we all have kids we can all pass our suppressed guilt onto them.

Yes, several things that make me cringe when I remember what I did, I have to put them down to stupid childishness.
