Does anyone know the real reason wh it is that the Holy Bible continually refers to Jesus as "A carpenter"? Maybe it's a message from God???? Like perhaps his name???

So let me guess!!! Jesus is gonna come down from heaven in a White Horse???? Work this out... 2000 yrs ago, how would somebody descibe the M25?? or the mellium dome??? Not now we're talking about someone 2000+yrs ago. Well for starters..."it had three gates to the east...etc it was layed out like a square, it was as long and as high and as wide as it was tall..Mellenium Dome perhaps??
You have to understand that that bible was written by someone who was alive many years ago and percieved the future in that way, it wasn't his fault... it was his own description. If you believe that it is about death and destruction then that is your own fault for choosing to interpret it in that way, nobody has has asked you or told you that that is right way to interpret it, you have in yourself chosen to interpret it that way!!! So let's hope that the big man has a good heart eh!!!??

There is ONLY ONE PLACE in the Bible where Jesus is called the capenter.
And this was only a question about where he came from and who he was.

He is only once referred to as a carpenter in Mark 6/3.
The two times the word is used in the New Testament are Matthew 13/55 & Mark 6/3. The context makes it plain that the people were astonished at His knowledge and wisdom and ability to work miracles but dismissed Him because He came from an ordinary and lowly background.
For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant and as a root out of a dry ground, he hath no form nor comeliness, and when we shall see him there is no beauty that we should desire him. Isaiah 53/2
The message from God is that He is God's only Son and that salvation is in Him and no other - This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, hear ye him, Matthew 17/5

Because Jesus lived in a time when last names (surnames) were not common, they often referred to people by their occupation, parents' names or hometown. Thus, Jesus was "Jesus of Nazereth," "son of Joseph and Mary," and "the carpenter."
Remember, he was 30 years old before he began his ministry -- he had probably been working in carpentry for many years before that!

I think there is no religious meaning in it at all. If his earthly father had been a camel broker, he would have been known as a camel broker--men often took up their male parent's trade or occupation.
Some religious nut may try to make something out of the carpentry thing, but there is no real proof in it.

It is a reference to His vocation. A carpenter's pay was considered as low income. Jesus was not born of nobility, but from the poor class.

No, that's what some in the cities where Christ healed called Him.
Is this not the son of the carpenter.

i think it is simple in that a carpenter is a builder of dwellings, and Jesus was a builder of new dwellings.
