You take your dog to an emergency vet. In areas where there is no after hours vet clinic, the normal vets are on call.

Just because your dog appears fine, doesn't mean she is. She needs a full exam. Bruising on the lungs, internal bleeding, etc. might not show up right away, or the dog won't show signs of being injured until its really bad.

Animals by instinct don't show that they are sick or hurt until they are VERY sick or hurt. Sick and injured animals are at risk from other animals.

Don't wait get your dog to the vet asap.

Stay calm and look in the yellow pages for a 24 hours veterinary hospital (your vet's office may have a place to call on their answering machine after hours). Keep the dog calm and quiet. When you find a place that is open, tell them what happened and any other information they need, and take her in. Some injuries aren't so apparent to the untrained eye, and on the outside. Their could be internal injuries that are best solve now, rather then later.

Good luck!

U need to take her to an emergency vet right now! If ur not sure then its better to be safe than sorry. Try gently running ur hand up and down the leg to see if u feel anything amiss, but maybe that should be left to the vet who sees her as u could do more damage. Please take her as soon as possible. Then take her to ur own vet once he/she opens for business.

EMERGENCY VET!

Your dog could have internal bleeding. This rarely shows any outward signs until it's too late. Your dog could die before tomorrow if this is the case.

FIND an emergency vet!

...and I'm sorry this happened to you, best of luck.

don't panic. Watch her to see if she shows any signs of being hurt, and whenever the vet opens, take her there. It may not seem like she's injured, but the injury could be internal.

If it is a large breed dog and is walking okay, it is probably fine. If it is a small dog, there could be a lot of injuries that don't show up at first. I would watch her closely and if she is acting like she is in pain or limping or just not acting right, go ahead and take her to the vet.

If she seems fine, just observe her. Sometimes when a dog gets hit, it's not serious.

Emergency vet. There's no way you can know that everything is OK with your dog. Please get offline and go.
