I don't think you have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome involves pressure to the median nerve as it travels through your wrist. It would give numbness and tingling pain to the thumb, index finger, middle finger, and the half of your ring finger closest to the thumb.

If the other half of the ring finger and the pinky are involved, it is likely coming from pressure on the ulnar nerve. This pressure often happens at the elbow. The ulnar nerve is the nerve which gives you that awful burning pain when you hit your "funny bone."

You should consider seeing your doctor about it if it doesn't start clearing up soon. In the meantime, some people benefit from partially stabilizing their arm in a neutral position during sleep by wrapping a fluffy towel around the elbow and holding it in place with a couple of large elastic bands. Not too tight, but just enough to prevent full bending of the elbow during sleep.

Good luck!

This may sound strange... but, if you're large chested, it could be your bra strap cutting into your shoulder.

(happened to a friend of mine)

Or... as others have suggested, carpal tunnel. But, it doesn't sound like you're doing repetitive tasks.

I would go to the doctor. It sounds like it may be carpal tunnell or it may be an injury.

Suggest you see a physician, your symptoms could be the start of a multiple of things. Or it could be minor. Better to have it checked out.
