Your comments/question vividly illustrate that you need to calm down, shut up, and listen to what your parents tell you. If you don't bring home the bacon, you ought to do something to contribute to the family other than whine about it on Y!A. Life is really hard, but it's harder if you resist learning some valuable lessons while you are young. Your parents are the best teachers of that, and you should be happy that they care about you. Unless you are suffering from some kind of abuse or neglect, you should be thankful you have parents who care enough to make sure you have a roof and food. Please examine your attitude and remember that your parents are the only people you can count on for anything.... ever. Good Luck.

You'll need to file a FAFSA to obtain federal or state money for school. Most college students work and go to class. You only have to take 12 units to be considered a full time college student, and that's managable with a 20 - 30 hour a week job too.

Talk to the counselor at your school and find out what help is available for you. A community college is very affordable and will get you started on the road to higher education and a higher paying job so that you'll be able to support yourself.

In the meantime, try to make the best of the move to Texas and make some new friends. Get involved in a volunteer effort or find a part time job. Good luck.

I couldn't agree less with whoever decided to lecture you instead of give you a constructive answer.
I think this is a time for you to take charge of your life. If you don't like Texas, then start planning right now to get out of there. Here's what I would do:
1) Get a job until the end of the summer. SAVE
2) Apply to schools in the area you moved from where you have friends and want to live.
3) Fill out a FAFSA online. http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
4) Figure out your finances. If you don't get enough aid from FAFSA, think about taking out more loans or going part time to school.
5) Start your own life where you aren't beholden to your parents, a boyfriend, or anyone else. Enjoy your freedom.
Just remember, you are never stuck anywhere, there is ALWAYS a way.
Good Luck.
If you need a private loan, try http://www.thinkfinancial.com
but get Stafford loans first. Better rates and Gov't backed.
