The JW's are a cult. The Bible says this about them and others like them.

And the LORD said to me, “The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart. Jeremiah 14:14

I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. Galations 1:6-9

The only way to be saved is to do what Mark 1:15 says. "“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

Mark 9:37-41 indicates a person can work against the Holy Spirit in misguided zeal. There is no such thing as organizational salvation. We each are accountable for our own actions. Ephesians 2:4 tells us ' For by grace ye are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:[it is] the gift of God'

note for iceprincess- that is not only 144. It is 144,000 will go to heaven. The others will be on paradise earth.

Jesus’ words bring to mind what King David of ancient Israel was inspired to write centuries earlier: “The meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.”—Psalm 37:11, KJ.

Are you in line for a real inheritance?
“Inherit the earth”—what an exciting prospect! But can we be sure that this is not just another crafty scheme designed to deprive people of something? Yes, we can. Since the earth is part of Jehovah’s marvelous creation, he as the Maker and Owner has the legal right to bequeath it to whomever he chooses. Through King David, Jehovah made this prophetic promise to His beloved Son, Jesus Christ: “Ask of me, that I may give nations as your inheritance and the ends of the earth as your own possession.” (Psalm 2:8) For this reason, the apostle Paul described Jesus as the one “whom [God] appointed heir of all things.” (Hebrews 1:2) We can, therefore, have full confidence that when Jesus said that the meek “shall inherit the earth,” he did so in good faith, and he has the proper authority to fulfill his promise.—Matthew 28:18.

What Must We Do to Be SAVED?

A MAN once asked Jesus: "Lord, are those who are being saved few?" How did Jesus reply? Did he say: 'Just accept me as your Lord and Savior, and you will be saved'? No! Jesus said: "Exert yourselves vigorously to get in through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will seek to get in but will not be able."—Luke 13:23, 24.

Did Jesus fail to answer the man's question? No, the man did not ask how hard it would be to be saved; he asked if the number would be few. So Jesus merely indicated that fewer people than one might expect would exert themselves vigorously to receive this marvelous blessing.

'That's not what I was told,' some readers may protest. These may quote John 3:16, which says: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (King James Version) However, we reply: 'What, then, must we believe? That Jesus actually lived? Of course. That he is the Son of God? By all means! And since the Bible calls Jesus "Teacher" and "Lord," must we not also believe what he taught, obey him, and follow him?'—John 13:13; Matthew 16:16.

Only God knows who will or will not be saved, so the question is whether what you believe is based on accurate knowledge or not? Does your church follow the teachings of Christ as a whole or not? Do they place equal importance on the little things, as the big ones, such as the Ark as box, not a boat, and when the astrologers arrived in Bethlehem?

Never assume that simply making a minimum effort, such as only declaring yourself a Christian or claiming the salvation, is all that is needed. It may be, but is your everlasting life worth the gamble that you're wrong.

Consider Moses. Only one sin prevented him from entering the Promise Land.

The question is, was it what he did or didn't do, or was it that he assumed to know the heart of God and with all the good he did, that he was guaranteed to get in?

If following just one scripture enough? Can you say that you are equal to God and know what he considers is enough to gain salvation?

Anti-Witnesses have made this claim for decades, but it simply isn't true. Jehovah's Witnesses concentrate on preaching "good news", and they leave all judging to Jehovah God and Jesus Christ (see below). Here is a quote from the "FAQ" of their official website:

http://jw-media.org/beliefs/beliefsfaq.htm
Do you believe that you are the only ones who will be saved?
No.

Here are some Scriptures:
(Acts 10:36,42) Declare to them the good news of peace through Jesus Christ: this One is Lord of all others. ...this is the One decreed by God to be judge of the living and the dead

(John 11:23-25) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” 24 Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life.

(John 12:48-49) The word that I [Jesus] have spoken is what will judge [a person] in the last day; 49 because I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment

(John 8:16) if I do judge, my judgment is truthful, because I am not alone, but the Father who sent me is with me

(Matthew 12:36) They will render an account concerning it on Judgment Day

(John 5:22,27-30) [The Father] has committed all the judging to the Son... 27 And he has given him authority to do judging, because Son of man he is. 28 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out... I judge; and the judgment that I render is righteous, because I seek, not my own will, but the will of him that sent me.

(Acts 17:30-31) God has overlooked the times of such ignorance, yet now he is telling mankind that they should all everywhere repent. 31 Because he has set a day in which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man [Jesus] whom he has appointed

Absolutely NOT. The JW's are a cult organization! The Bible clearly states that all a person has to do to be saved is accept the sacrifice of the Christ (dying on a cross) as payment for anything you have done wrong and follow the teachings of Jesus. So simple and yet so misunderstood. Don't get caught up in the deception of "being a good person" because no one really is, deep down. Only the payment of the sacrifice of Jesus' blood will "save" anyone.

John 3:16 says nothing about the Jehovah witness organization, besides they believe that only 144 will be saved and they have more members then 144.

to be saved you have to know the truth about the bible. the witnesses have the truth. there is no hellfire, trinity, or soul floating in heaven, only a paradise on earth with perfection and no sickness, death, or crime. wouldn't that be nice.

The watchtower does not believe in salvation in the way a follower of Christ does. The watchtower is a cult that has seriously twisted the Bible. They publish their own version of it, and have revised (changed) it hundreds of times to suit their leaders point of view. Do not be taken in by them.

Only God knows for sure.

The Witnesses don't teach that, though, I know that for sure.
