NOTHING? So quick to put down others with your slandering bashing, instead of being helpful? Am I confused here? Are all you "christians" really "christians" or are you satanist in disguise?

It means you'd best have cleaned your own backyard before talking to your neighbor about how messy his is. So, to continue that thought, before you tell someone how to live their life, you'd best have none of the same issues in your life, because that's the same way God will judge you. Kinda hard to listen to someone bawl out someone for having a foul mouth, then later, hearing that same "judge" using foul language somewhere else. And, before including all Christians in your questions, realize that we're not all alike. There are some pretenders, saying all the right words and speaking all the church-speak, but when it comes down to it, they're not Christians at all...just wannabe's. So, that answers your last question as to the reality of some Christians' standing. I can see where that would be confusing to you, and to others. They are the first to start bashing people, making themselves feel so superior. A true Christian doesn't put himself first, is humble, and seeks to help and to serve others. The Bible is full of the ways of how a Christian is supposed to conduct himself. Unfortunately, the wannabe's don't read it. They wait until Sunday, waiting for the preacher to tell them what they need to know, not looking for themselves. Does it sound like I'm judging? Yeah, probably. That's because I personally know people like that. And I'm definitely not like that. Besides, the Bible DOES say that we can recognize each other in certain ways, which is a different form of judgement. It's called discernment, which is a form of comparing. The Bible says we are to be like Jesus. When we read the Bible, we see how He lived His life, while here on earth. When we see others, who call themselves Christians, we see their "walk"...the way they live their life. If it doesn't measure up to what the Bible says a Christian should be like, we then know if they're a Christian, or not. So, we are to judge each other, but it's based on Biblical qualities, not on worldly qualities. We are to do this in a loving way, not harshly. We are to do it to correct what's wrong, not to hurt or put down, much in the same way a parent will correct a child who's done something wrong. If no one judged, then this world would truly be fit for only criminals. That's why we have a justice system, giving power to the judge to decide if the lawbreaker needs to be punished or freed. So, what the Bible is saying here is for Christians to be careful HOW they judge, not that they judge at all. We are to make sure that our judgements are fair, and based on the whole truth, looking at our own hearts to make sure we are motivated in a right way, not by hate, greed or ambition. Yeah, I know this is lengthy...sorry. I tend to be way too long winded. But, hey, it's Sunday, and I've got nothing else to do. Buh bye! <*)))><

Athiest bash us just as much as we bash them, little do you know, that christians bash each other, goof ball. Do tyou think you are the only one under the microscope. We all have a sin nature, it is easy to forgive a sinner, but when a fellow christian judges a christian, man that stings. So quit your belly aching. Try being a christian and then judged by another christian.

Spongebob is not a stoner!

It means don't judge people unless your willing to be judged back. God is the only one that can judge.

You shouldn't really generalise a group of people like that because.. yeah a lot of christians are a holes that ruin it for the rest of us, but all groups of people in society have the a holes.

I can't believe people get so angry over religion and can't just let people believe what they want and let that be that

It means just what it says...and the line that follows. Judge Not Lest Ye Be judged. AND... you will be judged by the same standard that you judge others. We must be forgiving. This is what Jesus taught. And the Lord's Prayer causes us to say, forgive us, as we forgive others

If we will not, or cannot, forgive others....we will not be forgiven either. Take a lesson from the Amish on this one.

I agree with robert p & iceprincess, it's okay for Christians to pass judgement on atheists because atheists are always bashing Christians. Like in the Bible where Jesus says, "When somebody is bashing you, it is okay for you to bash them right back. You only have to be nice and nonjudgemental to those who agree with you. Always treat your enemies exactly the same way they treat you, and try to lower yourself to their standards whenever possible." Okay, I can't find the chapter and verse where he says that right now, but I'm sure it's in there somewhere.

It means let God be the ultimate judge of a person's heart. We don't know a person by their outsides...let God be the judge.

That's how I live my life. Live...and let live.
