skiing in the park takes a lot of pratice. you will wipe out regaurdless of how good you are you will still crash. The best advice I can give to a newbie in the park is listen to other skiiers in the park when they tell you things to work on. also don't be afraid to look stupid or fall we all had our time doing that when we were learning. Also don't give up. falling on a rail hurts like a mofo but get back up and charge it again and you will get it my man
good luck

1)before u hit a jump make sure no one else is going because it can screw u up, get u kicked off the mountain, and make ppl pissed at u, or possably hit someone when u land.
2)always look at the landing before u hit it never go on it ur first time seeing it. the landing could bumpy, steep flat or a long ways away and all of those will make u crash or break some bones. "u never hurt urself trying a trick its the landing part of it."
3)get used to the park, get to know what ur doing, know what u can do, dont be scared to crash but dont go for somtin crazy.
4)try easy tricks first. the first day dont try tricks get used to flying through the air and landing it and the reason u dont want to try a trick ur first day is because if u can land a normal air than u cant land a trick to and maybe dont do tricks for a couple of days. now for a begining trick use this list,
1)grab
2)another kind of grab (ask other skiers for different kinds of grabs)
3)180 (practice riding backwards before u try this becus riding backward u have to beable to c in front of u and landing is as hard as heck)
4)360
5)now ull have enough balence to start small rails like 6 inches off the ground, and most mountains have boxes that u can just ride onto and u can turn onto the and get the felling of riding a rail sideways and it helps u learn how to turn off of a rail and ride on

hope u took this into mind and have a sick time <(*~*)>
6)and by now ull have enough practise ull know more tricks to do.

Just ski as you normally do and be daring to ask the people around you to give you some tips. We all learn through the hard way. Crashing and sometime "looking like a fool" is part and parcel of the fun. Without mistakes, we will never progress. Please know that even experts fall or crash. Also, we ski for our own fun and enjoyment. Why bother what other people think?
