I'm looking for a revolver that will fire the 45 colt but i am having trouble finding the old round camber into a double action revolver that isn't a large frame like the super red-hawk. Ideally i am looking for a small or medium frame revolver with a 3 inch barrel. Thank guys.

Oh i almost forgot. Any suggestions for a revolver that will fire the 45 colt. Something small, that one could although not necessarily would conceal carry?
And is there a difference between 45 colt and 45 LONG colt?

Yes, .45 long colt will chamber and fire safely out of any 454 casull revolver, it's one of the approved ammo's for that particular firearm, just like firing 38 special out of a 357 magnum is perfectly safe, just make sure you completely clean the cylinder when you are done shooting as the 45lc is not as long as the 454 casull ammo and will foul the ends of the cylinder holes.DO NOT USE 45acp ammo.

I totaly agree with boker_mag . I hunt with a Taurus Raging Bull 454. I target practice with the 45 long colts because they are cheaper!

I don't think it will fire the .45 ACP, but it will fire the .45 Long Colt
