My husband and I are disagreeing about whether or not to put a ceiling fan in the kitchen! I am just curious as to whether others have one in their kitchen or not!!!

I used to work for an architect designing upper end custom homes. I've never seen one put in a kitchen. Don't know that I would want the fan to propel dust around the area I prepare food in.

I used to have two in my rather large kitchen and it was nice in the summer. But now we've installed track lighting. Make sure the fan is far enough away from the cupboards, in case you to get something from the highest shelf. It actually hurts when you get hit.

I ANSWER IS THEY DONT USUALLY. BUT EACH ITS OWN. IF U WANT ONE THE VARIANCES ARE HEIGHT OF CEILINGS, CABINET LOCATION AND WHAT EFFECT U ARE TRYING TO ACHIEVE. IF IT IS HOR TRY TURN ON YOUR EXHAUST HOOD ABOVE THE STOVE, IF IT IS NOT EFFICIENT THEN GET A BETTER ONE. HOW ABOUT YOUR A/C DUCTS? DO THEY NEED TO BE INCREASED IN SIZE OR PLACED PROPERLY FOR AREA.

We don't but we want one. A kitchen is a hot room when you are cooking and if it makes it more comfortable, it is worth it.
