You are in the minority. I work at a Mc Donald's in Washington state (We should change our state motto to the coffee state) We use Seattle's Best Coffee at our store. If they are all following their procedures they should not let the coffee sit more than 2 hours. We have people that come through the drive thru in the morning just for coffee because our's is so good.

I think the old McDonalds coffee was bad (weak) but the new way they do it (where they add the sugar and cream) it is really good

Well, I don't like their coffee either.
It tastes like its been reheated too many times.
Though their iced coffee isn't bad once you stir it up a lot. The syrup settles to the bottom and they don't stir it well enough.
Personally, mcdonalds has potential but I'd rather go to Wegmans and get a Candy Cane Latte... mmmmm heavenly. ^.^

I've heard (and this may or may not actually be true) that it's because they don't actually use boiling water. Apparently there was some lawsuit when someone complained that the water was too hot when they tipped it over themselves (!) so MacDonald's only serve hot water now. Yuk!
I have no idea if this is true or not, I don't tend to go there for coffee!

bcos they dont use fresh coffee, they let the grounds dry out, it stays in a warm place and not kept in an airtight storage. Mine never tastes good, but it is at least hot these days.

cos they use the crap cheap coffee with the crap machine. they dont care about the taste buddy. they care about the dosh. im assuming your in US, well im in Australia and its the same here. just recently they are opening Mc Cafe. they are a LITTLE better. good luck to your coffee drinking. id advise you to just make one at home. tastes alot better dont you think??????
