You have to many pets if it takes a long time to feed them or if you think you should be doing something more important than get rid of the pets because you obviously don't have the time to give them. I grew up on a farm and could feed 100 dairy cow and 150 veal calves in an hour.

You don't say how many dogs and cats.
I laughed when I read the question because it seems like it takes me forever to feed 17 cats (twice daily) and six dogs (once daily). I thought it was taking 1/2 hour each time and really, it was taking half that -- about 15 minutes.
I have individual, empty dishes set out -- spaced well apart and in two separate rooms. I take one very large bowl and fill it with dog or cat food. Then, I walk around and fill the individual dishes from the one large one. (My large bowl is not large enough, so I fill the bowl twice for the cats and once for the dogs).
I only open the canned foods when I am not in a hurry. That can add another 15 minutes making a total of 1/2 hour.

i'm not sure how many dogs you have or cats but:
1. you can get automatic feeders that let out a certain amount of food at certain times during the day. You can set when it releases food to once a day or how ever many times they need fed.
2. if all of the dogs can be fed in one area get a large trough thing or big bowls and pour all the food in it and let them eat out of it and it only takes you about 2 seconds to pour it all.
3. Give them each a large bowl and fill it with a bunch of food like two days worth or more. That way when they are hungry they can just go and munch on their food and whenever it needs refilled you just refil it.
I hope this helps and good luck!
Also if you can get some friends or family members to help you out. If you have youner siblings you can make it into a game so they will want to help you.

Find them a home where they won't be a burden.
What are you doing anyway? Making 7 course meals? How long could it possibly take to fill food bowls?
I have 4 (used to have 5) and it's takes me on average, oh I'd say maybe 2 minutes if even that.

Purchase an automatic feeder from your local pet store chain or Pet Smart etc. They are available and work very good.
