To make a really long story really short I had a surgery that got infected and I almost died. If it were not for a lady who listened to the holy spirit telling her I was ill and needed attention I might not be here today.

This lady was in the congregation of the church I go to, but I had never met her until this point. She didn't know me and had to ask someone who I was in order to get my phone number. My Hb was at work and so she drove me to the hospital. I had another surgery and was in hospital a total of 2 weeks.

I almost got crushed by a Golf car that I had flipped,( it was a heavy older gas powered gold cart so yes it probably would have killed me). I was driving with this fat kid going really fast he asked if he could drive I said he could after I went around the house a few more times. He told me to slow down and I told him if he wanted off he could jump off at any time then I sped up. I went too fast around a curve and it flipped up he fell of the left side, the cart rolled over his leg and began to flip the other way it threw me off the right side. I began to roll and I caught eyes with my him as we were flailing about and for a split second we were both laughing at how stupid we were. The cart rolled next to me and was on two wheels getting ready to drop on me, I was in a daze an noticed the cart at the last second and rolled out of the way. It was a very dramatic thing that I couldn’t describe well with words, something similar to what you see in the movies or at least that’s what it felt like at the time.

I was in a car crash one night, I was only doing about 45 mph, but the car skidded on a corner, went part way up an embankment which flipped it over, it rolled over and landed on the passenger side, and skidded along the ground. I was holding onto the steering wheel trying to pulling myself up off the ground because the window smashed and there was grit and glass getting into my arm and my face. When the car stopped, I was totally disorientated, and because the car was on its side and it was totally dark, in my state of shock I was really confused., plus my lights had gone out and the horn was jammed on. There was petrol pouring all over the place, and the car was just in the middle of the road just before a blind corner. If a car had come round and hit my car, it could easily have exploded. I had to kick my way through the back windscreen to get out of the car, which took an enormous effort. Someone from a nearby house came out with a lantern and stopped the traffic from coming round the corner. I was covered in blood, but didn't even notice until the police pointed it out - I was really lucky though, I wasn't seriously injured at all, just had a lot of grit and glass in my skin.

I think many people have been very close to death and didn't even realize it and without divine intervention prolly would have died. Think about the flat tire that didn't put you in the intersection at a certain time or the sick kid that made you late for work the day the gunman showed up or on and on. There are prolly alot from 911 who we'll never know about too.

Yes..my story is about my dad..I hope that's alright.

My dad started bleeding internally and no one knew why..many trips to the ER and to the Doctor's. Upon the second time of hospitalization, he got up from his bed and headed to the restroom..turned and said call for a nurse, then he hit the floor...nurses from everywhere came running in the room, and said "code blue..get some blood in here STAT."
My dad had lost all his blood, something had erupted inside of him..he told me to always remember that he loved me...
He died that day..but it wasn't over..he was brought back to life by the power of God, the very same day..That's been over two years ago. Thank God for His mercy.

While on patrol in Kuwait some *deleted* took a shot at me...missed my head by inches and showered me with concrete dust. I'm afraid that I let loose a stream of words that are unprintable as we turned and hunted him down.

We got him...alive. But until we cornered him I was almost dead-set on icing him. Then we found out he was a fifteen year-old kid nearly starving to death. That changed the situation a bit.

On the night of September 27, 2001, my wife, her mother and sister, and I were driving to a restaurant in Hurst, Texas (we lived in Lewisville--another part of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex--at the time). A drunk driver struck our Ford Focus (the drunk woman was in a Ford F150).

My wife broke her left leg and some of her skin burned from heat caused by the wreck. My sister-in-law broke her left leg and her left arm. My mother-in-law broke her left leg, her left arm, and her back (she was in intensive care for about 6 weeks). I broke my left leg in two places and the left side of my face was shattered (I lost my left eye, had reconstructive surgery, and was in the hospital for about 2 weeks).

I never saw a bright light or anything, but my stay at the hospital was dreadful (I hate hospitals to begin with). I kept hearing things and strange music, and saw strange things throughout my stay (of course, I had a concussion). Still, I thank the Divine every day that my family and I survived.

The drunk driver (who also said she was on her cell phone at the time of the crash) was never arrested or charged with anything (she was allowed by officers to drive home). My sister-in-law thinks it's just because there were four of us and emergency staff had their hands full.

The woman later told her insurance agency that she was the only one involved in the accident, and, when we spoke to a lawyer, were told that we should not sue her because she didn't own anything, have any substantial monies, or have a job (the lawyer said it would be like "bleeding a stone").

So, aside from her insurance company finally learning that she had hit us, the woman had no punishment--except for a small ding in her truck.

I was married to an abusive man for two years.

One night he got so mad he shoved the pillow over my face untill I nearly passed out. As I felt the oxygen in my system being used up, I knew I was too weak to fight him off. I was certain I was about to die.

Oddly, I felt an extreme sense of peace. "I'm about to see the sweet face of Jesus!"

I'm not sure why he lifted the pillow from my face right at that moment & I guess I was a bit too scared to ask.

My nephew drowned last year & I'd like to think he, also, has a moment of great peace like this before he passed on.

Does having six brain surgeries count; of which a few people, doctors included, have told me I was lucky to be alive included?
(My last surgery about 10 years ago).
