GOD IS NOT GOING TO DESTROY THE EARTH, THE EARTH SOMETIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE WILL BECOME A GARDEN OF EDEN OR PARADISE WHERE PEOPLE CAN LIVE IN PEACE & SECURITY.
ARMAGEDDON IS SIMPLY HIS WAR TO CLEAN THE EARTH OF WICKED PEOPLE & ALL BAD THINGS THAT EXIST, & PEOPLE WHOSE WORSHIP IS UNACCEPTABLE TO HIM.
Why, though, would God wage a global war? Armageddon is closely related to one of his cardinal qualities, justice. The Bible declares: “God is a lover of justice.” (Psalm 37:28) He has seen all the acts of injustice perpetrated during man’s history. This naturally provokes his righteous displeasure. Thus, he has appointed his Son to wage a just war in order to do away with this entire wicked system.
Only God is capable of waging a truly just and truly selective war during which righthearted individuals, wherever they may be on earth, will be preserved. ) And only he has the right to impose his sovereignty over all the earth, for it is his creation. Revelation 4:11.
What about survivors? Indeed, no one needs to perish at Armageddon. The apostle Peter observed: “God, does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9) And the apostle Paul stated that God’s “will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.”
Consider the good Har–Magedon promises to achieve, godly humanity’s peaceful future on this planet, no more pollution, no more war, no more poverty, no more disease or even death. God promises: “Look! I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:3,4
After Har-Magedon, any person that survived, any person that will be resurrected, or any that will be born, if they obey the instructions or rules that have been given to them, they will live forever on a Paradise Earth. That was what King David was looking for in the future, after he is resurrected.
Psalm 37:29 The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside forever upon it.

According to the Bible, Armageddon is God's war to end wickedness. Afterwards the cleansed earth will be inherited by the remaining humans willing to live by God's standards, as His original purpose was. Read Psalms 37:9-11. Humans will still have the free choice they have now, but without the influence of wickedness, and with God's Kingdom over us (Dan.2:44), as well as restored to perfection with the ability to reach God's high standards life will be infinately better.

Gods true servants will survive Armageddon untouched. Their bodies will be made perfect and the effects of sin will be washed away(diease, aging, etc). The dead will be resurrected. Everyone will clean up the earth and transform into a worldwide paradise. Animals will have their fear of man removed, and they will even be peaceable amoung themselves. Bible says Lions will eat grass with the cows. Since those who died prior to the judgement, had their sins covered by their death, they will be resurrected as well, but they have not been tested to see if they will be true followers of God. So after 1,000 years, Satan will be released to test those who got into paradise by default. Many will turn against God, though don't see how they could be that stupid....and God will execute judgement on those. After that, Satan, those who turn against him, are wiped out of existance. Then the remaining will live eternal on earth. Thats all of it in a nutshell.

The 1000 year reign, the world will be good and have peace as Satan is locked up for that time- but then Satan will be released to deceive the nations once again- and after that final judgment.

Quran 75 (AL-Qiyammah/The day of resurrection)
1. I swear by the Day of Resurrection;
2. And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer).
3. Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones?
4. Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers.[]
5. Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins.
6. He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?"
7. So, when the sight shall be dazed,
8. And the moon will be eclipsed,
9. And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.)[]
10. On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?"
11. No! There is no refuge!
12. Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day.
13. On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions).
14. Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds].
15. Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds).
16. Move not your tongue concerning (the Qur'ân, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith.
17. It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Qur'ân),
18. And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Qur'ân's) recital.
19. Then it is for Us (Allâh) to make it clear to you,
20. Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world,
21. And leave (neglect) the Hereafter.
22. Some faces that Day shall be Nâdirah (shining and radiant).
23. Looking at their Lord (Allâh);
24. And some faces, that Day, will be Bâsirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad),
25. Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them;
26. Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit),
27. And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?"
28. And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death);
29. And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded)[]
30. The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allâh)!
31. So he (the disbeliever) neither believed (in this Qur'ân, in the Message of Muhammad SAW) nor prayed!
32. But on the contrary, he belied (this Qur'ân and the Message of Muhammad SAW) and turned away!
33. Then he walked in full pride to his family admiring himself!
34. Woe to you [O man (disbeliever)]! And then (again) woe to you!
35. Again, woe to you [O man (disbeliever)]! And then (again) woe to you!
.... there is more to this chapter.

Yes humans will be on earth, and no, they will not repeat the same mistakes...
2 Peter 3:13: "But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell." (this is not talking about a new physical heaven or earth, but new in the fact that righteousness will dwell there)
Psalms 37:9-11,29,37-40: "For evildoers themselves will be cut off,
But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.
10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;
And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.
11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
29 The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside forever upon it.
37 Watch the blameless one and keep the upright one in sight,
For the future of [that] man will be peaceful.
38 But the transgressors themselves will certainly be annihilated together;
The future of wicked people will indeed be cut off.
39 And the salvation of the righteous ones is from Jehovah;
He is their fortress in the time of distress.
40 And Jehovah will help them and provide them with escape.
He will provide them with escape from wicked people and save them,
Because they have taken refuge in him."
Revelation 21:3 & 4: " With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
Notice that it says the tent of God will be with MANKIND...that is the same as humankind.
Psalms 145: 13-18: " Your kingship is a kingship for all times indefinite,
And your dominion is throughout all successive generations.
14 Jehovah is giving support to all who are falling,
And is raising up all who are bowed down.
15 To you the eyes of all look hopefully,
And you are giving them their food in its season.
16 You are opening your hand
And satisfying the desire of every living thing.
17 Jehovah is righteous in all his ways
And loyal in all his works.
18 Jehovah is near to all those calling upon him,
To all those who call upon him in trueness.
19 The desire of those fearing him he will perform,
And their cry for help he will hear, and he will save them.
20 Jehovah is guarding all those loving him,
But all the wicked ones he will annihilate.
21 The praise of Jehovah my mouth will speak;
And let all flesh bless his holy name to time indefinite, even forever."
